COPDfast® CalcKit™ offers our unique respiratory calculators (FEVcalc™, PYcalc™ and COPDfast® Lite) into a single bundle.

CalcKit™ allows patients and medical practitioners to gain consistent and accurate data on a patients COPD severity using simple spirometry.

Calculate:

- FEV1 Percentage of Predicted
- BMI (four levels)
- COPD severity (in accordance with recognised worldwide guidelines)
- Smoking Pack Years (cigarettes, cigars, rolling tobacco, cigarillos, pipes)

The FEV1 Percentage of Expected/Predicted calculator is designed to allow a basic spirometer to give COPD severity unique to the patient. This is based on established worldwide guidelines.

The PYcalc is a Pack Year Calculator that offers a calculation for smokers tobacco consumption based on more than just cigarettes. This will accept cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, pipes and rolling tobacco. Pack Year calculations are vital to clinicians who have COPD patients that currently smoke.

The DOSE index calculator is a new system that can be used beside or instead of the Bode. This score is a number from 0 (good) to 8 (bad) which indicates how many resources a COPD patient is likely to require. This index has been used across the world in many practices and hospitals as a guideline to assist doctors and nurses in identifying which patients are likely to require more services and assistance as their disease progresses.

The COPDfast® Suite (of which this is a part) is a unique set of tools that have been used across the world since they were created in 2005. It offers a consistent and accurate monitoring of COPD for patients anywhere and the calculators do not need access to the Internet to operate.

None of the calculators retain patient-identifable data and can be used anywhere at any time.
